Best LEDs

I have a Red Sea Max 34 gallon tank and I want to upgrade to LEDs. What would be the best way to upgrade, would it be better if I retro-fitted the tank or just buy a light such as the AI Sol. If so where would be the best place to get the kit or the whole light? Thank you

The best led is Cree. But in terms of fixtures, I have heard good things about the AI Sol, PAR30/38 lamps, and Radions. I recently DIY'ed a 14x3w Bridgelux setup and they are pretty bright. Don't have any coral yet but I'm sure it will be more than enough for anything.

Good sites for DIY are
rapidled.com
aquastyles.com
reefleds.com

The second one is for Bridgelux and the last one is Cree. I would go with Cree and Meanwells should I have had the money.

I have the AI nano and it has no problem with acros in my 8 gallon. So far I have really liked the nano fixture. I am actually considering switching to LEDs on 150 gallon tank as well. Always wanted to do a DIY led but not very good with that sort of thing. Good luck.

I love my ai sol super blues, but if you can afford the radions I would get that.

I should mention, I have never soldered anything before and was very nervous to solder LEDs. But once you get 2-3 done, you get the hang of it and it becomes very easy. Soon, you are looking for other things to solder, lol

If I did get the AI sol, would you recommend just getting a new tank or just ripping off the hood of the red sea max
