connection reliability and wireless adapters

I don't have wired internet available where I live, so the only option I've been able to come up with, relative to my Apex Jr, is using a wireless adapter/range extender. The only issue I'm having with it is that my Jr loses connection pretty regularly. Occasionally it'll go a day or so, but usually I have to reset it (the apex, not the wireless adapter) a couple of times per day.

I know this isn't really an Apex issue, but is there any troubleshooting I can do to try and figure out why it's dropping connection so frequently? Networking stuff is a little over my head.

TIA.

what wireless bridge are you using?
what is your main wifi router?
how far is the wifi brdige to the router? if it is far, you can run the ethernet cable from the apex to the wifi bridge a little longer so you can position the bridge closer to your wifi router.

1 - a TP Link TL-WA850RE
2 - my "router" is a Verizon Jetpack mifi 7730L
3- about 40', pretty open... no walls or anything

I don't think it's an issue between the jetpack and the adapter, I think it's between the adapter and the apex.

I think.

If you are using static ip address on the apex, then there may be an ip address conflict.

Hmmm... looks like I am, but I don't see an option to set the apex to dynamic IP. Let me dig around a bit more. And actually look at the manual.

Thanks.
