I have never used one but I heard nothing but good things about them. I am thinking about putting one on my return though

look in my gallery the tank was 29 gallon i had a the smallest sea swirl made i believe 1/2 inch on that tank powered by a mag 7 or 9 i cant remember but it was a great addition, it moved back and forth 90 degrees and gave it the random flow SPS and other corals need. it made everything sway back and forth and was worth the money. i had the colony of Acropora in the upper left of the picture grow up to the top of the water, the sea swirl along with a seo 620 and a maxijet 1200 on a wavemaker helped me acheive this. hope this helps you
