Battery backup with external control problem

I’ve got a Profilux 3 controlling Stream 3 pumps that are connected to a battery backup with the safety connectors. The problem is that when the power goes out, the pumps are still waiting for an external signal from the Profilux and therefore never get above idle. Is there a fix for this, other than putting the Profilux on a battery backup?

The only way to solve it is to back up the profilux or disconnect the control cable at the pump.

That’s what I figured. The Profilux is 12VDC, do you think the safety harness could work on it?

I think it would be safer to use a small UPS system, batteries vary a bit too much for sensitive electronics, it would range from 13.2 at full charge to 10 or lower as it discharged and while it could work, I would worry about damaging the electronics.
