Can I put this filter inline before my RO system

Its attached to my kitchen sink and the RO connects to its end. Any reason why this wont provide better additional filtration for my tank water?

I found a home depot box at a thrift store with 8 all brand new filters sealed never opened. Figure for only $2.50 they be great to extend the life of the RO filters?

You could if you wanted.. Its not going to make much of a difference I'd bet..
The filtration in there may get clogged rather quickly and actually hurt the performance of the system though..
If replaced frequently its just a bit more prefiltration..

I don't know that it'd do much, either, but it's unlikely to cause any harm unless it clogs. Your RO setup should have a good carbon filter in front, in any case. I suspect that's all that is in this shower product.

Its just a carbon filter. It wont hurt using it but it wont help much either. The carbon filter in your ro unit is more effective. If you want to you can add a second carbon filter if your ro only has 1. Be sure to get high quality filters as well, there is a difference. Spectrapure and BRS for filters.

This morning my skimmer was full of pure foam. Three of my gradis pallys closed everything else seems ok. Just not taking a chance so I flushed all my top-off buckets and filled with RO only. The heck with that i'll just use for the shower instead.

I’d be concerned about too much pressure drop before the RO which typically needs 40 psi
