Clean up a Zoa?

I have a few Zoas that I rescued from a guy who was shutting down his tank. They were in pretty rough shape but after about 2 months have seem to come back nicely.

But there are lots of dead heads in the frags. Should I just leave them alone or should I trim them off? Don't really like the look of dead coral. )-;

Thanks

When Zoa's (any soft coral) die they disintegrate, if you still see them they are not dead. Post a picture?
