We should see them back in here in about 2-3 weeks.

I've just ordered the double cone 180 with the rd3 speedy. I'm interested to know what positive effects the upgraded pump has on this skimmer. I was restricted to this skimmer because of size and just hope it can handle my 500 litre sps system?

I have yet to run an RD3 Speedy powered skimmer, or a Double Cone at that, so I'm not going to be much help until we get our first ones in here.

Better view today, (Bubble King Double Cone 200 with Reef Dragon 3 Speedy Pump).
Check back later if the video crapped out... Sorry about the 15 second add at the start... Looks like it just shut down, I love computers! I'll get it running later tonight, sorry... http://www.ustream.tv/channel/higgyreef Last edited by HiggyBrew; 05/09/2013 at 08:34 AM. |

Jeremy,
What is the price going to be for the 200 DK with RD3 pump? What does availability look like ? My time frame is end of June beginning of July. I think I need the 200 over the 180 because I will be running a 120g with 30g sump (actual water) heavy bio-load and SPS dominate tank. What do you think? Thanks |

As soon as they land I will have pricing on them, probably a week and a half from now. I would suggest sticking with the 180 (7" body), instead of the 200 (8" body). An 8" body on a tank that is under 160ish gallons display wise is just too much in my opinion.

The 180 says good for tanks up to 500L which is 132g. Will it be able to handle the load?

Yes, the 180 will go up to 160g or so with no problem at all, that's with a heavy load.
