Got a couple as a hitch hiker, how do i know if they are still viable? How do i tell if they have already hatched?

If they're viable you will eventually see tiny cuttlefish inside them.

at first i thought it was algae but when i touched them, they were squishy. Also knowing what cuttlefish eggs look like beforehand didn't hurt. They came attached under a piece of zoas.

picture/description? Are they clear and oval connected at a point because I just got a few zoo colonies and one had a group of 4 under it. Thought it might be a pest but I let it be without dip in the quarantine tank just to see, forgot till I red this I will have to go check them that was like 2 weeks ago.
