Has anyone seen flow vs head charts for these pumps? I've searched, but can't find anything.

When it gets warmer out I am planning on setting up a straight vertical 2" pipe and test flow rates at various heights and build up to shutoff. The DCP 15000 and 18000 will be apart of it.
Which I just got both in and will try on my skimmer! Will compare flow rate, watts drawn, and air draw vs. a waveline dc 12000 apex ready pump. Looks like there's also a dcp 20000 according to the manual. I'm extremely thrilled these came with pvc slip adapters. That's awesome.

I'm not sure China understands inches. lol
I'm trying to get to 1" and looks like the 1.5" included fitting is 1.5" on the outside but seems slightly bigger. 1 1/2" coupler doesn't fit on the 1 1/2" slip fitting included. But a 1 1/4" bushing fits inside. So, that lines up with standard schedule 40 size for 1 1/4" pvc with outside diameter around 1.6" So weird....

It's pretty awesome even if it's max flow or head isn't 100% accurate.
I find it quieter then the waveline dc12000 when I first ran it but the waveline did quiet down a lot over a few weeks to being almost silent at 100%. I'm impressed it can go up in 1% increments from 30% to 100%. And I really like it gives how many watts are being pulled by the pump. Killawatt is higher from the wall. Watts sent to pump at 30% 1% increments Here's a quick first look and going to run the pump at 100% to get a good running average so these numbers will most likely change a bit over time but not by very much.

Do these pumps still have the slow start up feature of the prior generation Jebao DC pumps? Doing a little research on pumps for a Lifereef 24 skimmer. Any info is much appreciated.

Yep and the 18000 had been doing a fantastic job on my mazzei venturi skimmer. Now to find out how long it will last.

What's it drawing at full blast in watts? Also, are you running the stock or the Mazzei venturi on your 24?

I've been running the 6500 at 80% on my svs2-2 but I have a low bioload.

Nice... that's good to know. I'm looking to set mine up on a 70ish total gallon system.

Yes, these new DCT pump's are pretty nice for the price. I wonder what they will come up with next as far as features go. The other models i've had go bad after two years and some are still going strong after two yrs. Overall I am very pleased and will still recommend and use for future projects. Not to mention nearly every skimmer manu is now using jebao pump's, or rebranded jebao pump's.

I am looking to get either the DCP 6500 or 8000. Does anyone know the dimensions on these pumps? Are they both the same size? Thx I am trying to design my sump and want to make sure I leave enough room.

Jebao DCP return pump?
Quote:
They are both the exact same size. I have both and running them currently. Great pumps! Go with the 8000. 10 bucks more and pushes lots of water at low power. I went with the 6500 first and regretted not getting the 8000. Ordered one 3 weeks later and moved the 6500 to my quarantine system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I ordered a dcp-8000 from Amazon, received a 5000. The sticker on the box says 8000. They are sending me a new one tomorrow.

Thx ddanis. I was debating whether I should get the 8000 or not. Makes sense to have the power available and run it at lower power. I am guessing you have 1" PVC hardpiped in.They look to be about 4" wide. Is that right?

Actually do you think the 10000 would be to much for an 80 gallon system?

Jebao DCP return pump?
my return is all 3/4. i need to update it but everything works perfect as is so im not sure that i will. I have the 8000 pushing about 8' of head plus about 3-4' horizontal distance from my basement. also inline are 2 40's that are in the basement with the sump. I run the 8000 at 80% and it feeds the entire system, half of which is a floor up. when a few valves are turned, the two 40's are a separate system fed by the 6500 in a lower sump on the basement floor. I will say that with just the 90 display and the sump by itself, the 8000 is pushing the same amount of water at 58% / 31 watts that the 6500 was pushing at 84% / 47 watts. I run the 8000 at 80% when the entire system is opened and flowing. hope all that makes sense.
