Yellow belly regal colors
My regal that I've had for a year or so has lost his black mask and a majority of the black in vertical bars. Its yellow and white are still vibrant. He is a fat fish gets fed nls/pe pellets 2 times a day, black worms 4-5 times weekly, variety of frozen daily. Kinda puzzled?

No. I do feed nls algae pellet in a mix of pellets in my auto feeder. I also feed spirinla brine in my frozen rotation too. I can definitely try nori.

I would assume the pellets would have everything they need, but who knows. I would try nori and frozen food soaked in selcon. If that doesn’t work maybe looks for some other explanation.

Looks OK to me. Convict tang is nice and plump, and they are often thin in captivity, so I'd say you are feeding the tank just fine. My red sea regals always ended up losing a bit of the black edge in favor of the blue, so maybe it's a 'normal' reaction. A stunning fish regardless and as long as it is eating and maintaining a healthy body weight I'd not worry. BTW, I'd say you've done a really good job with this fish. It looked very thin in that year-old picture, and now looks to have a very health body weight.

Thanks Wills612. That is the store off of Belvedere?
I'll have to re-visit the store. Last couple of times I was there the fish didn't look that healthy. Maybe I caught them on a bad day/week. Again, great job.
