It is made of ceramic (clay), but done in a certain way so that it contains very high porosity for nitrifying bacteria to populate.

I'm getting in a couple of new coral pieces tomorrow (blue tort and two pearlberry's) and also a couple new fish this week (convict and Kole tang), so I will update after everything has been quarantined and settles in.

So I've been trying to teach myself to take some macro shots. So far it's been rough, but I think I'm getting better. Here are some shots I've taken of a couple new pieces I recently added and some not so new. They aren't great, so please forgive me. I am no photographer, that's for certain:
Pink Birdsnest Unknown Acro (but great polyp extension) My bicolor monti cap (hoping it swirls together) Blue tort Unknown acro (it's actually a little greener and is getting rose colored polyps) Ice Fire echinata (forgive the bleached stylo in the back, it's coming back slowly from the move) Pearlberry (my favorite) Monti Setosa

Aquascape is beautiful! Do you run a really ulns/zeovit? Your sps are really light and pastel in color.

Thanks, they are my the first macros I've ever taken. I'm hoping they will get better in future postings. Definitely a learning experience.
