Great scape and beautiful tank!
And your corals seem to be in perfect condition!

It is made of ceramic (clay), but done in a certain way so that it contains very high porosity for nitrifying bacteria to populate.

Thanks, I don't have any plans of upgrading anytime soon, so this will definitely be it for a while. I picked up a couple more frags I've been looking for, now I have to resist adding any more (soooo difficult) and just let things fill in.

Thank you, I've always kept some LPS corals with my SPS. For me it's hard to find that right balance. The LPS do OK, but I don't think they ever show their true potential (color wise). I tend to keep my tanks lightly stocked and feed very little, so everything stays on the nutrient poor side of things. Great for my SPS, not so great for my LPS. With this tank I'm experimenting a little. I'm no longer running GFO and I am letting my nutrients rise a little. So far so good, maybe I will find that perfect balance I'm looking for.

I'm getting in a couple of new coral pieces tomorrow (blue tort and two pearlberry's) and also a couple new fish this week (convict and Kole tang), so I will update after everything has been quarantined and settles in.

LOL, thanks. I have had a little time to tinker around with it. I'll try and take some macros tonight and post in the morning. I've gotten a few new pieces I want to show. A word of warning though, I can guarantee my photos are not going to look half as good as yours. I've been following your thread, and your pictures are incredible. I'm still waiting for that FTS of yours. I'm sure if it looks anything like your photos it's going to be awesome.

So I've been trying to teach myself to take some macro shots. So far it's been rough, but I think I'm getting better. Here are some shots I've taken of a couple new pieces I recently added and some not so new. They aren't great, so please forgive me. I am no photographer, that's for certain:

Pink Birdsnest

Unknown Acro (but great polyp extension)

My bicolor monti cap (hoping it swirls together)

Blue tort

Unknown acro (it's actually a little greener and is getting rose colored polyps)

Ice Fire echinata (forgive the bleached stylo in the back, it's coming back slowly from the move)

Pearlberry (my favorite)

Monti Setosa

Aquascape is beautiful! Do you run a really ulns/zeovit? Your sps are really light and pastel in color.

Thanks, they are my the first macros I've ever taken. I'm hoping they will get better in future postings. Definitely a learning experience.

Thanks, I don't run ULNS or Zeo. So far my tank just looks like it runs this way. I've been trying to "dirty" up the tank a little by extending periods between water changes and feeding more. I prefer darker coral colors, but seem to always end up with pastel looking ones. I'll just have to wait it out and see.
