what can I use to protect my powerheads from sucking stuff in.

I need something that will keep my anemonies out of my power heads that are in my tank, and to keep "junk" out of my power head that is in my return chamber. Right now I have a piece of "foam" that is kinda like what is used in filters just rubber banded around one. One of my anemonies still found a spot that was not completely covered and got a tentical pulled in. The one in my return collects cheato and gets clogged with that and algae. I have different brands of powerheads, but they are all the "square" style like a maxijet.

You need a pre-filter sponge. My LFS carries them as does most online stores. Dr. F&S carries them.
