Horizontal run in Bean animal overflow
Hello,
I have all the parts I need for plumbing my sump through the wall in to my display tank. The current plan looks like this: sump.jpg This is just a side view, there will be the typical bean animal three drains: full siphon, open to air drain, and emergency backup. There is about 10 inches of horizontal travel from the bulkhead in the tank to the sanitary tee. Will this kind of distance cause any trouble with the siphon or introduce any noise that I should be concerned about? This is a freshwater setup and probably will be running about 500 gph. Thank you for any feedback, AZ |

No issue I have my primary and secondary running horizontal for about that length. I get a full siphon in less then 30 seconds
