Havent used that exact product, but I've used other snow melt products (prestone driveway heat) and know many other reefers who buy similar products.
What I suggest you look for -- 1. Percent purity. I've seen people succeeding with >=94%. 2. Other listed ingredients. Sometimes it lists MgCl2 or NaCl, and I skip those products (I'd prefer to control Na and Mg independently of Ca) The very large number of different ice melt products on the market certainly makes it a little challenging to figure out if brand X works for reefing! |

I haven't seen that one either, but people are successful with a wide range of calcium chloride products. I'd check the purity and work from there.

It's fairly similar to the older Dow Flake, as far as calcium chloride goes. It might be safe, and I have heard of very few problems with calcium chloride products, but it'd take a lot of expensive testing to be sure that it's safe.

Use the clear jug container prestone driveway heat , its pure calcium chloride . I have been using for 8 plus years.
