Reef Life Waveline Pumps

Anybody running the Waveline Apex ready DC pumps?

I've been starting to look at what to get for a return pump and came across them. They seem like they maybe a good value for the features compared to some other pumps.

Anybody controlling one with an Apex? Does the Apex allow infinite speed adjustment or is it limited to the speed steps available in the pump controller?

I have a non apex dc12000 on my 150 gallon. Been working great for the past year. I'll probably get another for the 300 I'm setting up.
