Thanks dude I’ve decided to put a shallow sand bed in. Now will keep soaking in RO till the weekend. Then drain and fill with fresh RODI ready for salt! Originally I was going to use zero live rock but I think I will put a small price or two in the sump to kick things off. Let’s hope I don’t regret this.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jay - great moves with this tank. First, painting the background black. This will conceal the large overflow, and really make the corals stand out. Also painting the bottom white. I thought you were doing white bare bottom (which is my favorite, but too much PITA to keep clean).... I assume it will be used to help bare spots created by the wave makers blend in. Definitely incorporating this in my Niji No Niwa build. Love the dims and scape!

Quick update.
Everything seems to be going well, have continued with weekly water changes. I am feeding a cube of mysis to the take every day also. I swear the two clown fish are eating half of it! Water still has a slight cloudiness to it so I have put a filter sock on to see if it clears it up. I think its a bacteria bloom. Now I am just getting impatience and want to fill it with sticks already!
