Stand design for 260 gal
Hi guys,
Attached a design for a stand for 260 gal (24x30x84) tank. Going to use 2x4 studs covered by plywood. Does it provide a sufficient support? Thanks |

There is most certainly plenty of lumber there to support the tank..
How you intend to join it all is whats really important.. Have you seen the "rocketengineer" stand design? I'd suggest copying/modifying it as its plenty strong and looks like far less work than what you have sketched out.. See here... you can throw a vertical upright in there and do your doors and call it a day.. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1169964

Yeah I'd use rockets template, it's all figured out for you in a simple manner, solid design.

Thanks guys. I used a similar design for my 120 gal tank and the thread you mentioned gives required math.
