Gyre 250 or 280 for 3/4" Glass???
I'm wondering whether to get a Gyre 250 or go up to the 280. Spec's for the 250 say it will handle up to 3/4" thick glass; in your experience, will it do so (well)?
Tank is a 250 gallons, 7 feet long. Gyre to be mounted horizontally at top on one end of the tank. Plan is to have a pair of Vortech 60's on the back wall to intersect/disrupt/randomize the Gyre-based flow. Thanks. Ken

I have 3/4 inch glass on my 230g. I have’t had any problem with my Gyre 250s. I only run that at 40% max, so that could be a factor.
