Par38 LED bulbs from OCreef.com
Anyone use the PAR38 CREE LED Aquarium Lamp w/6 Blue, 4 White, 2 UV LEDs. or PAR 38 with 6 Blue, 4 White, 2 Red LEDs from Orange County Aquatics?
I just purchased one of each. www.ocreef.com |

I am using the first one you mentioned. I have it over a 5g with zoa's and ricodea's. Great color, corals seem to like it.

Right on, How long have you had it for? I just received both within the last couple weeks. So far so good. Not growing any corals with mine yet. One is over my 55 gal on one side. The other I haven't plugged in yet. I'm planning to put them both over my 40 gal breeder once as I set it up and get the overflow box from glass holes com along with a tank for a sump. I have a 25g tall with pink xenia that split into two. I have a Innovative 8watt 10k led over it.
Thank you for the response back! |

Awesome, Did you use the mount that they sell or did you use a clip on lamp?
Do you have any anemones under the light? Last edited by tribalturtle2; 01/30/2013 at 12:49 AM. |

I am using a floor lamp for now. I have a maxi mini anemone in my tank, not sure if this lamp will keep anything more demanding, I have stuck to some easier to keep corals.

I'm thinking about ordering one or two of these bulb (ocreef PAR38 CREE dimmable 6 Royal Blue Cree LEDs, 4 Cool White Cree LEDs, and 2 UV)
Any news of you? Autodave do you have any other pics? It seems that yoru picture is less blue than I though it was (18.000klv for the bulb). Thanks |

Go with the dimmable ones, I have a Green/purple Ricordea and a small rbta(size of a nickel) both are doing really well with the dimmable led at about half power. Its on one side of my 55. The other side is a marine led double row(Which doesn't do much just light up the left side). Eventually I'm going to get three more of the dimmables for my 55 and 2 for my 40 breeder.

Thanks both of you.
It really seems less blue than i think it will be. Btw for a 10g (16x11x12") will you take one or two of the dimmable par? Thanks guy |

Would 2 of these over a 24 gallon nano tank be sufficient to grow any sps corals?
