Same here. Mine is in my local UPS facility ready to go out for delivery but since they are closed until Monday it will sit there . I ordered something yesterday that was shipped the same day but via USPS and it will be here on Saturday. This is why I sometimes hate UPS. Quote:

BRS sale was amazing on these, I decided for the extra 50 bucks to get the 150, and so far it has been working great! It also helps that I am 10 minutes from BRS and walked in to get mine the day of the sale.

sigh lucky you! I wanted the 150, but it was OOS at the time. I was afraid the 130 would get OOS as well so I grabbed it. then the following day, the 150 came back in stock and the 130 was out. haha

I wanted to do the 130 for my 40b, but down the road I plan on doing a 120 build, so I figure why not.
Also the new BRS warehouse is HUGE! |

Looks like the broken volute mine came with is a known issue with many of them so you might want to open that box up and look it over asap. For those that run into this, BRS being out of stock is suggesting to contact Proline Aquatics themselves for warranty of the part. Or they will send out a recall notice for the skimmer but say it could be 2-3 weeks for a replacement. Last edited by evsalty; 12/02/2013 at 04:05 PM. |

I am sure one of the two will make it right. It is just a matter of how long it will take. With BRS it will probably take a month when you include shipping both ways. With Proline hopefully it will only take as long as it take to get from them to me. But I still need to hear back from them before I even know if they will be the ones to handle it. All I know is I want to be able to put this in the tanks right now but I can't.
The part the is broken is just the cheap red airline nipple for ozone that is GLUED into the volute. I am not going to be using the ozone tube but without being able to block it off it will allow water to be drawn into the air intake chamber right next to the air intake nipple. If they did not ship the tubing attached to the volute then this would not happen. Silly people. Also I have now found that 3 of the 4 ti bolts for the pump bracket will not fit into the recessed holes in the bracket so the pump cannot be mounted to the bracket. Strike 2. Hopefully there is no strike 3. This may be nit picking here but why is the bracket for the air muffler so loose fitting on the adjustment tube? The muffler is sitting to where it looks like it is dangling from the tube. For the price (normal one that is ) they could have either made this bracket to have a snugger fit or included a snug fit ring to help keep it snugged down and sitting level. Or perhaps a top bracket. |
