BRS sediment filter and carbon not seated

I’ve a aquafx rodi unit for which I bought BRS replacement sediment and carbon block. It seems that the filters are not seated correctly in the canister, when I turn on the water I can see water rushing down the side of the filters. I thought water goes through center of filter and forced through the walls outward.

Also this explains why my di resin gets used super quickly.

I’ve tried to reseating filters and still has same issue. Suggestions anyone?

The water goes in the opposite direction- in the lid, down the outside, up through the center and out.

Oh ok. Then I wonder why my di resin got depleted so quickly and then tds shot up. Also the sediment filter is not getting dirty at all. Something is going on

the pre filters take out very little tds, all the work is done by the membrane. I must have pretty clean tap water because it takes months to notice any coloration change in my sediment filter....maybe your tap water is very clean too.....

We and you can only guess at this point. If you want to know why TDS is high you need to measure your TDS out of the tap. Then out of the filters before the RO. Then after the RO and after the DI. This way you will know your TDS numbers and what removes how much TDS. As far as why your resin is used up fast. It could be high C02 in your water.
