I'll give you $200.

Hmm. Do you no what the TDS of your feed water is? How about after the RO?

55 before or after the RO? If that's after, no wonder you are burning through DI resin.

And after the RO, but before the DI?

I misspoke. It is 42 after the membrane and zero after the DI. My incoming tap water is 200 so the membrane is removing only 160ppm. It is pretty new and has only processed about 500 gallons of water so maybe the psi is too low to push the water through the membrane.

Something is going on with the RO there. 80% rejection isn't near good enough. Obviously you know that.

Might be worth a call to that Russ guy at Buckeye Hydro.

Not very efficient for sure. I has to either be the membrane or the pressure. I took out the membrane and reinstalled it thinking it was not seated but it appeared to be fine. I double checked my line going into the body and the two lines coming out. Center one is filtered water and the one on the side is waste. At least that is my understanding.

one thing I noticed with my unit is the TDS after the membrane gets high 40+ if I leave the water turn on but my float switch stops the actual output. IF I let my holding tank get empty then turn on the water to the unit the TDS after the membrane will start off high and gradually fall to <10. I always try and only run the unit once a week but sometime I forget to turn off water to it.

I don't have a float switch or an aso so I manually turn off the water.

That's called TDS creep and is a known problem. This is why we install flush valves before the DI stage. This way you don't send that high TDS water into the DI which will deplete your DI very fast.

All stores include a 100% to 300% mark up.
Since I buy everything on line except livestock.....my costs to run are 1/3 of retail.
And they deliver right to my door. Spend 50 bucks and ships for free.
Retail will be a thing of the past.

Paid between $2-$3 a gallon. Now have RODI and do my own. No more going to lfs and area buckets plus RODI paid for itself in no time

I bought Sea Water from the Steinhart Aquarium, in San Francisco, it was cheap and keep my Aquarium very healthy.
