6095 issue

I have a pair of 6095s that I purchased from BRS last week. One of the 6095s has stopped responding to the apex controller, it's always 0 power when plugged set on control. I don't have it programmed for 0%.

When I switch power supplies, it still functions the same as above. I believe it to be something between the controller and actual head.

Regards!

What does it do when no controller is connected and the 7090 is set to pulse mode? If it then works, I would be more likely to lean to the cable or configurations, if it doesn't work, it could be the 7090 controller. You could also swap the 7090, it opens and the motor plugs in inside and it is a part we could send if that is definitely the cause.

Of the two 6095s one has a smaller power supply. The 6095 that would shut off does so when set at 30-32%. At 33% it works fine. I know about the don't run under 30, but was/is there some sort of failsafe built into them?

Another interesting thing I noticed, I have them plugged into V3/V4 with chained Kessils plugged into V1/V2. When the Kessils are set to 15% intensity, if I hit the selection button on the 7090 that does not come on when set <33%, the Kessils will blink on and off. No biggie either way, just an observation.

The light issue would point to some sort of signal interference from the controller.

Newer 6095's can go to 20%, there is no failsafe, the pump may stall and it may run, the risk is that it will overheat as it will be energized and the coil will be getting warm but insufficient water flow will be present to cool it. It will detect the stall or heat and stop but it can damage the pump long term to run in lower settings.

The 6095 used to use power supply 6055.240, it was bigger and had jumpers for 12-24V, when we added the 7090, the jumpers were no longer needed to adjust speed, the 7090 does it. We then switched to power supply 6095.240 which is a constant 24V, there was a transition period where 6055.240 with only the 24V jumper preinstalled was used. We wanted to get away from jumpers as they are another opening that can be affected by salt creep, the more sealed the power supply is the longer it should last, otherwise they are functionally identical in power output, etc.
