I have not seen live bacteria in a bottle before...at least do anything but take money out of your wallet.

Do you need the QT for treatment of a sick fish, or just to QT new additions?

I would suggest throwing in a rock from your DT that you wouldn’t mind if you had to toss because of a potential infection by a new fish. The rock will have enough bacteria to seed the QT, especially if you are only QTing a few fish and are mindful of over feeding.

Right on. Copper will kill all the inverts so nix the LR idea. Do you have filter socks? You could throw that in a filter for the new tank.

I’d grab an HOB filter tomorrow and set it up on your DT for a few weeks. The floss in the filter will be seeded with bacteria.
