Yes, it spreads. If it gets a hold in your display tank, it can be nearly impossible to eradicate.

I would remove the piece with the Aiptasia on it to get the Aiptasia out of there. To me, the caulerpa is not an issue. It can go sexual but I never had issues with it. I use to add it to my tank for my tangs to eat.

Not aptasia, still some sort off anemone. Have you got any anemones in the display? Caleurpa is no issue also, I’ve run my fuge for 2 years now just on it with no problems whatsoever.
