Heavy D's IM Nuvo Concept Atoll

Set this up in my office about 1.5 months ago, keeping this extremely simple.

Equipment list -

- I.M. Nuvo Concept Atoll 12g Cylinder Aquarium (stock return pump)
- I.M. Aqua Gadget Ghost Protein Skimmer - Desktop
- I.M. Aqua Gadget Spin Stream Nozzle
- Sicce Voyager Nano 1000
- Kessil A160WE Tuna Blue + Spectral Controller
- Smart ATO Micro automatic top-off system
- no heater
- small bag of Chemi-pure Elite
- water is RO/DI + Aquavitro Salinity salt mix

Livestock list -

- 3 small pieces of Florida live rock
- assorted mangroves, coral frags and rock flower anemones (acquired from Carolina Aquatics and Cherry Corals)
- assorted snails and hermits
- 1 peppermint shrimp
- no fish... yet

Future plans -

- transfer pair of True Percula Clownfish from home aquarium (owned for 9+ years)
- add tank raised Catalina Goby
- add more small soft and LPS frags
- add more macro-algaes

Open to other suggestions.

1/14/17 update

I decided I liked this aquarium too much so I ended up bringing it home. I wasn't planning on it, but I found a clam at a price that was too good to pass up so I purchased it. I'm sure it will quickly outgrow the aquarium (it already has some new mantle growth) but I couldn't say no. Currently dosing Red Sea's 3 part reef foundation daily to keep up with Ca, kH and Mag demands.

Still haven't added any fish, but hoping to do that soon. Only other livestock additions have been 3 sexy shrimp, 2 yellow sea cucumbers and some dragon's breath macro. The mangroves have not been doing as well as they were in my other tank, but they've also been moved around a bunch and are finally starting to get their roots settled. Time will tell.

It's not bad at all. I have the Vertex Duplex magnet for the main viewing portion and then one of the handheld Kent acrylic scrapers (just the blade) for cleaning the sand line. Between the tank inhabitants and my light and light settings, I'm really only cleaning the glass once a week when I do my water change.

I'm in the process of building a stand and will post some updated pics soon.

Hi,
Beautiful tank!!! I just bought this tank also and was wondering about the stand, can it be fitted with an auto top tank or is it solid wood top and bottom.
Thanks,
Lee
