Tomato Clownfish- adding another?
I’ve had one tomato in this tank for a year and was thinking about adding another (smaller) one. He currently hosts 1 long tentacle anemone, and 2 small bubble tips. I have been reading conflicting things about whether or not we can add another.
Anyone have success with this? Or with adding a clown of any other species with a tomato? |

My boys are begging me to add a gold striped maroon, but from what I’ve read so far it sounds like that would end in a death match...

How large is the tank? You "should be" fine getting a much smaller tomato and introducing to the female. Adding the smaller one to a specimen container before introducing to the female can help immensely when pairing the more aggressive species of clowns. How large is the current tomato?
As for mixing it with another clownfish species, I wouldn't do it. Last edited by ocellaris123; 12/22/2018 at 12:12 PM. |
