Is that R. rectangulus? If so, I've never seen one like it before. I assume it's coming to your tank soon??

Very cool, I've always had a thing for Akitas. I can remember seeing one in a park in Cleveland when I was a kid and I never forgot the breed.

We've got a 10 year old Newfoundland now, he's our old man dog. Slowing down here in the past couple years.

I do not remember seeing this one. R. bursa x aculeatus? Super cool. I'll have to keep an eye on Diver's Den. BZ is Blue Zoo aquatics? It's been too long since I've had a Rhinecanthus... gonna happen soon, just not sure it'll ever go in the display tank. It'll have it's own "pond." :0)

Yeah, we feel like he's in borrowed time for sure. Vet says he's in good health, just arthritic.

He had a steroid shot for a hematoma on his ear about three weeks ago and totally changed him in terms of his joint stiffness. I'm assuming the anti inflammatory effects of the steroid.

Was considering starting some kind of anti inflammatory regimen, maybe rimadyl, I'm concerned with the long term effects on his kidneys and liver though.
