Alkalinity getting used up fast but no calcium

I have a JBJ 28 running for almost a year and so far I have not had to dose calcium because it constantly stays at 440-460 depending on the size of my water change. Alkalinity on the other hand I need to dose approx. 8ml a day of B ionic alkalinity to keep it in check. Is this normal for a tank that has mainly LPS? Shouldn’t my calcium be getting used up more as well?

8 ml per day of alkalinity is a very small dose. The corresponding drop in calcium would be far too small to measure. For many tanks, water changes can keep up with calcium demand, since there's so much of it in the water (in terms of forming calcium carbonate) compared to alkalinity. Your situation sounds very normal.

I dose 3.1 ml of alk a day and have a consumption of .3dkh a day. I also dose about 2ppm a day of calcium a day which is like 2.9ml, but I dose 3.1 ml to keep both doses the same.

I'm not sure what test kits you are using, but it's likely that your consumption aren't enough to be noticeable on a day to day basis as stated above.
