Awesome build. How are you going to plumb your dual overflows? I ask because I am doing the same and have received some conflicting feedback regarding the challenge of setting up dual overflows as 2 BeanAnimals (one for each overflow) or splitting one beananimal between the two overflows.

Not sure yet on how I am going to plumb the overflows...mine are large and drilled for three returns each with one being a fail safe....but I will be fine with just two returns on each overflow.

Is that a big reefdynamics calcium reactor? I didn't know you could still find them. The design is great with recirculation, I have a smaller model and it works well.

Sorry about missing this reply. Always a great time at the CORA swap. Never knew how cool old town Hilliard is too. Very nice!

Yes, it was custom built by Reef Dynamics for my build. It's huge too. Would make a nice goldfish display tank too lol.

If how other people spend disposable income on a hobby rubs you the wrong way, then my build thread is only going to disappoint you further.

Tim, I wouldn't even humor trolls that don't understand the importance of having redundancy in such a large investment. It's the difference between losing your entire system, or nothing at all. I'm actually looking at streaming my system to phone to ensure I'm always aware of the status of it.

Up next is the lighting I will use on my 600g Reef Savvy dream tank. I have been using metal halide lights for well over a decade so it is no surprise that am I sticking with what I know best and what makes my SPS happy....but with a twist. I will also be using LED strip lighting as supplements, but the primary source of lighting will consist of 6 (six) 400 watt metal halide lights.

Reef Brite HyBrid Metal Halide 400W Pendants with XHO LED strips X 3 . These light fixtures are sweet and compliment my Reef Savvy tank very well.

Very well said, Robby. I may have to copy your smartphone streaming updates for my system as well.

I'd have to agree. I don't understand why anyone would derail such a great thread by being so negative.

That's a crap ton of replacement bulbs! Ok maybe it's just one replacement swap for your whole setup but still

I was looking into metal halide ballasts myself and figured they'd be a lot cheaper or something due to the big push towards LEDs... nope... damn pot growers!!

Just wondering why you went with mogul bulbs versus double-ended? Aren't the latter more capable? Again, just a curiosity, not a critique.

It is comical at best to be trolled on a large reef tank forum. Some people just feed off of negativity.
