Fish missing
I brought a green chromis 2 weeks back from LFS and it been eating well in the isolation box while acclimating in the main tank but after release he went straight to hiding. It been 2 days already, i'm kind of worry.
My tank is very new, no coral and clean up crew yet. I wonder should I continue to wait a few more days or to check whether is he dead in between the rock? I'm worry it will pollute the water and crush my tank. |

A single fish death will not crash/pollute a tank..
Give it more time..and don't worry. Its just a chromis

I had some Chromis and they hid a lot when I first put them in the tank.

Thanks guys for the input, I will wait till this weekend then before making any action. Hopefully starvation will overcome the fear.

I have a Firefish that goes into hiding from time to time, usually when there's a new addition to the tank. The longest I lost sight of him was for a month. Thought he would starve but came out of hiding with a full belly so he was still eating during the time he was hiding.
