It is?

Still a bit cool here on the coast. Been what they are calling a May Gray this year. Just figured our June Gloom was early.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't get it. Why do people freak out when it gets hot OUTSIDE? It stays the same temperature inside year round for me. Do you not have an air conditioner? Not to knock you if you don't, but you're one of the MANY that say this when summer approaches. I just want to know what I'm missing.

Actually, it's pretty common for costal area apartments/condos in socal, especially older ones, to not have central air/heat. And they often have no a/c of any kind. Mine doesn't.

Very interesting indeed! I don't know anyone that doesn't have at least one window unit A/C in Oklahoma that has the money to have a reef tank. That's very interesting to know. Thanks for the enlightenment.

It's not really needed in most places, especially on the coast. here in Santa Barbara it's fairly rare for it to hit 90, and with the cool ocean breeze and high cost of energy, A/C just isn't worth it.

Hey SDguy, where did you get that regal tang? I just moved to Sacremento (from Indiana) a couple of months ago and all the stores in the area are wretched. I need to find a decent source for fish.

Right. Average temp in SD is like 74. Rarely does it even get into the 80's here around the coast. I'd probably use an a/c unit about 1, maybe 2 weeks out of the year.

Sorry, got mine at a LFS here in San Diego. Aquatic Warehouse. I think they sell drygoods online, but not live stuff...don't think.
