Line-X

Has anyone painted their stand and canopy with Line-X? I was thinking about going that route. It would be the Aspart-X, so it would be a smooth finish.

I am not familiar with their Aspart-X product, but the Line-X product is a high quality plural component polyurea that is by far one of the most durable bed liners in the industry. It is sprayed hot and does not sag (like rhino).

I would imagine their flooring product (Aspart-X) is similar in quality and durability and honestly overkill for an aquarium stand where good old paint or brush on poly provides ample protection. If it is the look you are after, then any epoxy paint with a bag of color chips will work at a much cheaper cost....

That said, if you go with any of the the Line-X products I am sure you will be happy! I wouldn't have a truck bed without it!

I was thinking of just the black (no color chips). It looks pretty good, I was going after the great protection it provides. I have decided against it though, it was $9 a SQ FT. I just went out and bought a new paint gun and sprayed it. Two more coats and I will be happy.

Next step will be making the bean animal overflow for my tank. I have no idea how to do it, but I'll do somemore research soon and figure it out lol.

While the thread is a long read, it is very informative. Post there if you have questions and somebody is sure to answer them
