Denitrator is here as well. I may have overdone it? Also have the Hanna checker and the Red Sea test kits although I may switch to Salifert

you seem to have everything and more! any QT plans? the only thing lacking I can think of is the mixing stations and QT setups.
the newer Gyre comes with ruggedized propellers, which is a huge step up from their original propeller. If yours doesn't come with it, I suggest swapping it out. the old propellers break easily and cause flashing red button

The new 200s are interchangeable with the 150? Mixing station is the next job after woodwork is done. I do have a 150 Gpd BRS system. Need to buy 2 200 gallon water reservoirs and build a shed of sorts outside. For QT pet supermarket has a 60 gallon aquarium full set up for like 300$

Yes definitely. Looking at start date mid October or a little earlier. Will be needing him for future water changes as well.

Wanted to thank both Geo for the dual reactor and suggestions as well as TB aquatics who sold me most of my equipment on this journey. Gotta put everything together and take a pic of everything together. Anyone have experiences with the hammerhead/Barracuda gold hybrid pump? Read some things about leaking.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/QUOTE] I have the gold Hammerhead/ Barracuda pump running on my setup for about 9 months, the only place it has ever leaked is from the plug at the bottom to drain the excess water. It was overtighted and once I took it apart and cleaned and reset the plug tightened by hand it has been perfect. I love the pump and the flow, my only complaint is it does give off a good hum that can be heard. I have my set up in the basement as my system drains into the basement and goes back up to the main level 15 to 16 feet of head pressure. You can hear the pump humming on the main level. Mine is hard piped and I have heard if you use flex piping for the first few feet it may reduce the noise from the pump. Something to consider as you pipe yours. Where did you get the Geo Reactor from? What is it rated for? What do you plan on putting in it? |

Thanks Ojas I'll keep that in mind. I did buy some dampening pads to soften the sound. Hope that helps as well. The Geo 1218 I got direct from Geo acrylics. It's rated for tanks over 1000 gallons. Oversized it for my system. :-)
