Big skimmer for sale.

I have a octopus extream 250 for sale. I bought it new two years ago for $495.95. I have no problems with it. It is still up and running on my tank. Here is some information.

- Reef Octopus Extreme XS 10" in sump skimmer

- Dimensions: 16.5" x 16" x 24"

- Rated up to 250 gallons

- Modified cone neck design for easy transition of micro bubbles into cup

- Powered by two NEW Italian made sicce PSK-1000

I also have the up graded pin wheels from ATB. That was $60 extra. I'm asking $250 for it.

Nice to meet you Darrell. Thanks for the skimmer.

Chad, have you ever modded the PSK1000's to fit a skimmer like this? I'm going to be buying two of them to replace the PSK2500's and will need to make an adapter to get it to fit the skimmer.

If you've already done it, then you can save me some trial and error trying to get the right stuff for it to work properly. If not...well, then I have some more plumbing parts to possibly use later.

Nick

Thanks for the links guys. I did some google-fu and found that thread and a few others that also showed guys using a Bubbleblaster pump in place of the Sicce's. Went to CoralVue's website and saw they are stating it can be done with an additional un-named part. From what I've read, you replace both PSK2500's with a single Bubbleblaster 5000, which happens to pull more air than both PSK2500's combined.

I need to contact CoralVue directly and find out what that additional part is and if they sell it, or if I need to order it through someone like Premium Aquatics. Coral Vue is a wholesale only vendor and Premium Aquatics doesnt list the additional part or that the Bubbleblaster 5000 can be used as a replacement for the two PSK2500's.

Basically, I'm gonna end up converting this skimmer from a Reef Octopus XS 250 to Reef Octopus 5000 internal...

Nick
