Aqua Controller 3 Question
Can I just buy this
AquaController 3 + Temp Probe - Backlight And then later add NEP-PRBPHS NEPTUNE STANDARD GRADE PH PROBE And this. NEP-DC8 DC8 Will the controller still work ok? |

Ed,
You need at least one DC8 or similar device to control anything as far as I'm aware. The controller works by turn outlets on and of base on the programs running. A controller and a temp probe would just be a very expensive thermometer!

You don't NEED a DC8 right off the bat. You can use parts bought at Radio Shack (X10s) for controlling fans, small pumps, and the like. You can run your MH off of them, but otherwise no problem.
We started off with an ACII, and some X10s from Radio Shack/Home Depot. Gradually added the probes, controllers and the DC8. Looking for another now.
