how old?

i have a mantis in my tank, and i can´t get it off...try a lot..is ther some one who could tell me how old a normal smashing mantis will be?

Depends on the size and species. Assuming you have a Neogonodactylus wennerae or similar species, 1 inch, 1 year; 2 inch 3 years; 2.5 inch, 5 years.
