Can a clownfish harm/kill an anemone?

LFS has a nice RBTA for 50 bucks since its so small, its about 2 inches. Just wondering if a clown (my clown is ocellaris, pretty much the same size as nem) can harm/kill an anemone by rubbing against it too much. Im pretty fixated on buying the nem, I have a spare tank I can house the clown in for a bit. How long would it take for the anemone to grow (double its size) under optimal conditions (good lighting, gets fed, etc)?

My H. mag almost died because of having it with too large of a maroon when it was smaller. The female actually ripped the mouth on it so I could see inside it. It healed but never will I do a small nem with large clowns again due to this.
