This is what 10 bulbs does on a 80cm wide tank

When you get things right the colors and growth are great.

Hi Glennf - the attention to detail is incredible. A unique gift and passion. I wasn't aware you also made your own tank. Impressive. I always enjoy reading your updates but its is like a blessing and a curse. The blessing is that I always find at least one coral that I'd like to own (in this case the Fox here: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...postcount=1239) while continuing to learn more on the curse side I've had my upgrade/display up since April and it doesn't even come close to a 10th of your display.

Continue the great work. I like how you always lay out the corals. That is something I really struggle with. Not that I've added any but looking at the layout and then knowing what the coral will do and what to add. You have an artists or Arborist touch for sure.

Thanks m8.
I take picture of most things i do because i use it as a reference do do my research. If has proven very valuable to me. So it's very easy to share when i have a free moment.
I have been build my own tanks since i was 10y old. One of the charm of the hobby is the DiY.
I think it must be a gift, because i don't realy think about it. I just put the corals in any free space is see en let them sort it out themselves.

It helps when you go the extra mile to understand what the important things are to be succesfull.

So do many
I got this from a friend, this is a real pink stylo from fiji.
Often you see the purple stylo which was kept in ultra low nutrient and turned pink. After a while in normal conditions it will turn blue/purple again

Here you see then both under same conditions.
Center and topright

I did no special effort to get it.
A friend who was succesful with it, made a frag for me.
The reason why i am really searching for new species is space limitation.
I love to see how corals grow out to large colonies, so i hate to cut them . I am a coral hoarder

I love how the coralpolyps grows so dense on the staghorn.
The acropora parilis have nice long baby blue tips.
The purple tip acropora is growing like crazy (i am looking for the name)
The poccilopora is showing more and more pink since i replaced the T5 bulbs a gew months ago.

Those black boxes above the frag700reef are the same one from my Butterflyreef.
China made "wifi 165watts" units.
i have 4 of them, but i would not purchase them again nor, recommend them to anyone, because get 2 shipments with 2 different color temperature, so the lamps don't match. I got 2 refurbisched units and the wifi controller broke down serveral times.

Patience my friend. It's a learning process.
It took me 14 years in the hobby to get at this level.
Now i believe i may say: "i can reproduce results time after time".
