Nevermind. User error! It looks like it turned off!! Just curious but when does the swabbie turn on when using your code? Every 4hrs on the dot from the time I programmed it?

I tried to post a YouTube video of my twin Swabbies doing their thing, but I couldn't make it recognize the embed code. So, anyway, here's a link to the video on my site. It's at the bottom of the page:

Very cool Tom! Just curious but why isn't the blade positioned a little lower in the cup?

That's probably my fault when I made the custom-length rod. Tom, is that on the lowest hole?

...but doesn't the spinning wiper collapse the foam head? LOL Great video showing the Swabbies in action!

Yeah, they're both set on the bottom hole.

BTW: how'd y'all like the lullabye accompaniment?

Very soothing. Puts me at peace immediately

Do you get significant buildup below the blades? We can build you a double 6" wiper (opposing each other) to reach all the way down.

No, doesn't really cause much of a problem. I clean the Swabbies every couple of weeks anyway - before I hook 'em back up I go once around the bottom of the neck with a soft toilet brush. Works great and takes 10 seconds.

Glass, your swabbie on the left side seems a little tight. as it spins, it shutters, as the one on the right glides smoothly.
as for the blade being high, its only a little over the riser, so i dong think its too high, although, a double wiper to reach all the way down those extended necks, that would be super sweet!!

great product!
and good jub "ctenophore"

Yeah, you're absolutely right, David. Before I recorded the video, I took off the Swabbie for a moment in order to clean the inside of the skimmate cup so the "action" would be visible. When I replaced the Swabbie, I didn't notice that I had forgotten to tighten the adjustment screws to their original position.

those are sweet, but for that long of a neck i would have am build you the double blade like they suggested then they would work even better

Glass, its true. And because you run dual identical Skimmers, and they perform very close to each other, you should proto type one. Run a single On one, and double on the other.

Avast, you should send him a new rod and 2nd wiper for a month or 2 long trial. To see if its worth adding to your arsenal.

Because the neck on the extended models are so long, the bubble level might be so high that it doesn't benefit, but there could be a slight film build up to where a swabbie would help. ( it might not be a dark film, But well worth trying to see if any improvement is seen!) After the trial, you can decided if You want the proto type back or if glass can keep it for his time.

It would be cool to see what happens!
Good luck

Just got my Swabbie custom mounted for my Bubble Magus 180-CS. Just LOVE it! Nice smooth operation. And they did a great turn around from the time I mailed my lid in, to getting it back. Thanks Justin. Great customer service.
