Hey kids, I posted a first impressions review of the Mitras with plenty of pics of course.
http://www.everydayreef.com/blog/201...-mitras-7x-led There is also a thread in the Lighting Forum if you want to discuss.

Would love to see an update on this baby! I'm currently considering upgrading my LX6200HV to the LX6300HV version, which is just the older model with new LX7206 pendants. How do you compare these to your Radions? Spec wise they're near identical from what I can tell. Are you still just replicating your Radion settings with the Mitras? I was thinking I would replicate the Ecotech AB+ spectrum and hope for the best.

Even my purple stylo looks like poo, and I'm about to pull it out. Montipora seem to do ok. LPS do real well. I'm slowly transitioning to mostly LPS. It's pretty much NOT working. If I clean it out completely, pump and everything, it seems to work ok for a few days and then stops producing skim again. Haven't seen any skim in weeks. Overall, I really don't like this tank and wouldn't buy one again. I've had way too many problems with it. If doing a nano again, I'd go with a Red Sea Reefer or something with a sump. I hate the filter compartment part of this tank.

I really think it's something to do with water quality...except for the couple that lost color in front/shadow area.

My best tank ever had a sump and skimmer. Nothing else. KISS method. So now my current tank is setup basically the same except I added chaeto for the pods and help with nutrient export. So far so good. My build thread is in the Reef Discussion forum. Don't have a link on my phone. Although, I have almost no pictures and those would make you squirm with my amateur skill set...

Your tank is looking great! Does your red sponge require any special care?

This one is doing way better than the one in my home tank. The ONLY thing that is actually doing better. LOL! I have no idea why. Less light probably. They don't like intense lighting. Quote:
I think the SPS issue puts a dark cloud over the whole tank for me. But maybe these sps have just been through so much that I should try a brand new frag of something really healthy. Then again, another part of me is kind over it.

That's the crappiest tank ever on RC...said no one!
Dennis, if that's crappy then I might as well pack up shop and quit!

Dennis,
I went with the Tunze DOC Comline 9004 skimmer on my IM 40 tank. I don't know if it will fit in this one but it works pretty well. Only issue is the occasional clogging of the air intake line but that is like every 6-8 weeks. If wasn't so lazy in my cleaning it could be avoided. But I agree, having a sump is nice.

I need time to figure out what's going on with the AquaMaxx. But in an office situation, time is hard to come by.
