Unhappy Someone killed my elegant coris wrasse

i could hear splashing a couple of times during the night and i got up to look.. i kept thinking it was something going on in my invert tank. In the morning, my coris wrasse was nowhere to be found. tonight i found some crabs going to town on it behind some rocks. The thing is.. the wrasse was doing fine for many months. The only new members to the tank were 4 microcanthus strigatus, some shrimps, and a small red spiky crab that was hiding in some red algae that i added to the tank. Oh and about 15 small bait fish. Any ideas who the killer could have been? i'm totally bummed she was really shy for a month but became so friendly and playful after that.
