RO/DI Chloramine?
I am trying to find out is chloramine filters necessary or just add another carbon block. I know my town uses chloramine
Currently I do have that special filter but curious if its necessary. |

My local does as well. I run sed-carbon-carbon-ro-ro-di-di. Yearly I toss the first sediment and di and carbon and both RO, move the older (carbon and unchanged DI) to position 1, and put new media in position 2.
I make a LOT of water a year using this schedule.

you can get a test strip that will test for chloramines in your source water. If you already know that your city is in fact using it I would stick with the chloramine filter.

The BRS RODI uses a second carbon block if you have chloramines. Not really sure you need a special chloramine filter...
