Chloroquine Phosphate has worked for some, but I can't find it from a reputable source.
I have tried starving them. I used a 35 gallon quarentine tank with infested rock. I didn't feed the tank. I did 20% water changes twice a week for 2 months. I did 50% water changes twice a week for a month. All while dosing 10 ml potassium permanganate.. the snails are still there. I have pulled out rock and and replaced it with new only to see the snails start to repopulate on the new rock. Nuking the tank is the only option I can see at this point. I have learned a very valuable lesson here. Dipping and Quarantining EVERYTHING and removing new corals from the object that they were purchased on. I was basically lucky for a long time without going through these steps. I used to think people were going overboard with the procedures and time they spent within those procedures.... I have changed my entire mindset with this hobby. Go slow and do everything you possibly can to protect that beautiful display tank, or you will end up with a lot of headache and heartache. And lots of wasted $$$$.¢¢ (notice the four dollar signs) Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

I want to add an observation. This may help someone not sure how. But although my tank has what seems like thousands of these pests my sump which is has no light has none not one. Not sure why this is.

Maybe that's because my urchins take out the ones they can reach?

I got 100 blue legs and a few urchins and my numbers are down. They are not a cure, but they seem to really help. It is neat to see a blue leg on top of a tube trying to extract the verm.
I only have the small kind, so no idea what would happen with the larger ones. |

I think this is also because you add food to the display tank (so they have more food in the tank vs sump) and they are closer to the source of the detritus in the tank as well (fish poo, etc). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My theory is if the flow is slow enough, it wont carry food particles to the snails. Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
