I would not add anything and take back anything you can. It takes months to cycle a saltwater tank. If you can't take stuff back do dialy water test and change water as needed to keep what you have alive. Cycle well take longer so don't ad anything for a several months.
Good luck

Cycling is subjective. Testing will determine if your tank is cycled. I started with some cured LR, new "live sand" and a bottle of bacteria. Never saw and spike of ammonia or nitrites. Rushing into sps is something else. Sometimes you're successful, sometimes not so much.

Happy turkey day. People. All is well in the tank so far no issues no deaths everything looks great. In past three weeks I can see a couple new zoas already starting to grow and all my sps corals looks great polyps out and looking good. Colors of corals starting to get a little brighter since I've been adding koral color to the tank.

I'll stay out of the cycling debate, but will say with plenty of good live rock, you can actually cycle a tank in days. Other then larger tanks(over 30G), I've never seen a cycle take months. Weeks maybe, but certainly not months.
Very nice looking tank! You might be rushing into SPS's IMO, but opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one. With that many SPS's, you might want to invest in some test kits. Nothing elaborate, but would certainly invest in at least the big 3(Kalk, Alk, and Mag), and a phosphate kit. Red seas, elos, or salifert are all well known and fairly accurate.

Couple new pics all is well in the tank. Nothing has died or looks bad. Doing a 20% water change tommarow I do it every two weeks still running with no skimmer but feel like I need filtration.. Only filter floss in the back. Might buy two of the three pack Im sells with carbon purigen and something else since I have two baskets. Other than looks good have zoas growing all over. Different kinds in different places. And I had one of the mushrooms or Yuma not sure yet as there small split into two..
Bad side only pest I have is aptisia witch I assume came with rock what should I do shirmp or that paste stuff. Been thinking about glueing rocks together anyways could I just cover them with the same same caulk? |
