micro's causing nitrates?
Hi,
I have a microbubble problem unless i keep my sump topped off to a near perfect level. The return baffel is the problem i think. I was reading that micro bubbles could cause nitrates to rise? Is this true? I do have a slight algae problem this may be feeding as well. The tanks been up for over a month now and I really want to get rid of this nitrate problem. It's staying 15-30 all the time....I can't get them to go down! it's a 75g reef with 150lbs of base rock/LR. salinity 1.24 ph 7.8 - 7.9 ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrates 15-30 |

I've never heard of microbubbles causing NO3 problems but that doesn't mean anything. You should try to get your pH up, though.
