IMarine 25g Lagoon build
Been out of the hobby for 3 years due to nursing school and am very excited to be getting back into it. My apartment only allows up to a 30 gallon aquarium so I decided to go with the Innovative Marine 25g Lagoon because the JBJ rimless 30 was sold out every where. Any way, the tank came today, several days ago I purchased rock from the LFS and started a 10 gallon to allow the rock/sand to cycle while I waited to get the tank. Now I need to either build my own stand or wait until next paycheck to buy the $300 IM stand. Any one have good plans for a DIY stand for this tank by chance? For now I have a old AI sol Nano I used on my last tank for a few months but plan to make a necessary upgrade eventually. I am looking for recommendations on a nano skimmer that would fit in the back of the 25 Lagoon, I had an old Tunze nano but unfortunately it is too large. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated ill post a few pics to show what I have going so far! EDIT: I will post pics later, bc it wont allow my phone to post directly.

I am planning on doing a mixed reef, but mainly want to do SPS. I know this is more difficult in a smaller aquarium I used to have a 135 gallon SPS tank so also any pointers or recommendations on equipment I should get to maintain would be appreciated. I am already planning to order a 2-part dosing kit to help keep water levels more stable. There seems to be tons of new equipment since I last enjoyed the reefing hobby so open to all suggestions! Thanks!

Yeah, I've grown SPS in a 28 gallon before just did frequent WCs. But this time I'm doing it right, with a proper dosing system and every thing I need for them to thrive. I do plan on having a sump, I'm thinking I'm just going to reroute the water from the overflow down to a sump instead of taking chances drilling the tank.

[QUOTE=Reefstar075;25253934]Yeah, I've grown SPS in a 28 gallon before just did frequent WCs. But this time I'm doing it right, with a proper dosing system and every thing I need for them to thrive. That way I can just use my old nano Tunze until I buy a new skimmer, or can even use my old larger reef octopus skimmer if I can make a sump that will fit it.

Decided to build my own stand and it is coming along nicely, hoping to finish it by early next week and finally get my main tank going. Hopefully I figure out how to upload pics so I can share pics with my next update!
