Algea in octo tank

I'm I stuck with scrubbing or should I dare to add a big snail. I tried to add a astrea snail which my octo enjoyed very much.
Thank,

My bimac has eaten all the snails I have placed in there with him. I would try an urchin to control algae. They eat primarily coralline but occassionally eat other types.

No, they don't eat urchins. I have one of the caribbean long spined urchins in my tank. It came as a hitchicker on some live rock.

ALthough this is more work to install, but a good thriving refugium works wonders...
