Any chance a MP40 on 3/4" glass would work?

Any chance a MP40 on 3/4" glass would work, even if no spacer put on?

Turned up and in wave pulse mode I think you will have a problem with the dry side vibrating off the glass

My back wall is 3/4" glass and I have two 40's running.
For 3/4 you remove the spacer.
Always go by what the label says. Not enough pressure and it will fall off, too much pressure and you'll create too much friction in the wet side.

Dennis, are you still having solid luck with your MP40's on your 3/4" glass (w/ no spacer)?

Old post but I'm having problems with my 40s on 3/4" glass. I have one 60 with no issues. The gasket I'm using for the 40s is the the thinnest one, just a strip of rubber. Any thoughts on what could be the cause?

Current schedule is:
Lagoon 15% 12am-6am
Nutrient Transport 25% 6am-9am
Reefcrest 30% 9am-5pm
Tidal Swell 40% 5pm-8pm
Short pulse 40% 8pm-10pm
Gyre 30% 10pm-12am

John,

I would recommend completely disassembling and giving your MP40 wetside a good cleaning.

I already did that for all 4 pumps. Vinegar soak and scrub. There is no algae and the pumps look like new.

I turned the speed up a bit on each pump and they're holding so far. I guess the speed has something to do with the dry-wet connection. Perhaps if it gets too slow to the point of briefly stopping, the connection fails.

Let it get a day of break in before you crank it 100%
