Well, from may of last year, til last month, in 1 years time, my Rastas went from 4 polyps, to over 200... Any zoa I've kept, has done excellent if it's survived the acclimation process to my system, which usually takes about 2 to 3 months for new additions to established growth and color if they are able to get used to the conditions of my system and don't melt away before that...

I really do expect everything to do even better now... With the drastic improvement of tds, as well as the stability I have re-established with my systems water quality... I reduced my sps collection and have started a few peices over as well... So alk and things like that, are much more consistent now... And in this hobby, stable alk is your friend in keeping all types of corals

I would also like to note, that today, I took my carbon and reactors offline... I am now running a strictly high flow, and strong skimmed system, with minimal bio media (the tiles)...

Unfortunately I seem to be losing my bam bams... But everything else is doin quite well...

I'm in love with clementines though and the orange they have... So if the bam bams go (which obviously I'm trying to prevent), I wouldn't feel so bad, lol... And I kinda wana get rid of my candy apple reds... They jus don't do it for me anymore...

Jus adding some thoughts to my thread while I'm here, but again, thank you for the kind words...

Also to note, my purple hornets seemed a little under the weather for a bit, but are now growing and appear healthy again

Closed up my red people eaters with my sea squirt to show how far they are... To give a size reference, the tile they are seated on is 2" squared...

Neal--do all your zoas close at night and open with lights-on in the mornings? I'm trying to parse out why mine all close at night but many other folks have their z/p's stay open at night (and some therefore claim that night is the best time to feed).

Always enjoy looking at the tank.

How many color morphs do you have now?

Mine usually close up at nite... Seems pretty normal to me... But honestly, I'm not sure what they are "supposed to do"...

Thank u

I have about 16 different zoas/palys... Some are actually not doin so hot since lowering my alk back down to high 6's dkh... So im bringing it back up to about 9, which seems to be a good medium... So we will see... Bam bams have not been doing well, and the last time I saw the which was yesterday morning, they were at their worst so far... That is when my alk was at its lowest... 6 before dosing it back up to about 7... But again, I'm gonna start keeping it at 9 and finally utilizing my dosing pump spaced out over 24 hours daily, with doses happening every 4 hours... I'm hoping the bam bams start doing better... But we will see... Fingers crossed... Those started at 2 polyps about 19 months ago... So it would be ashamed to see them jus disappear

Pink elephants... These, along with my rose nebulas and limeade (acro), are very difficult to get their colors in pics... Or at least with my iPhone...
